Sex and Genetics are guaranteed unless stated otherwise in the listing. All animals are guaranteed to be eating at time of shipment. Should you receive an animal that was sold to you with a guaranteed sex, and that is incorrect, we must be notified as soon as the error is realized, but in no event more than 12 months after purchase date. The original animal must then be returned to us, following our safe shipping guidelines at customer’s expense. Upon receipt, Legacy Exotics will inspect the animal and a comparable replacement will then be sent to you if available, at our expense, or a store credit will be given at our discretion.

Legacy Exotics does their best to portray the color of each animal as realistically as possible. The photos of animals for sale are unfiltered and unedited (besides cropping/removing feces and other unattractive features from surroundings). Monitor setting vary from computer to computer and color may slightly vary. Because of this no refunds will be given for color confusion.

For crested geckos, we do not check for pores to sex, and will not pore sex available geckos upon customer request. Our experience shows that sexing based on pores is generally inaccurate. All geckos are considered unsexed until they show obvious physical signs of being a male, or reach a size that Legacy Exotics is comfortable confirming them to be females.

Geckos do not ship until reaching 5 grams for animals health and safety. Any geckos advertised on site less than 5 grams, if purchased, will be held until the animal achieves a weight of 5 grams.

Shipping is through FedEx overnight when weather permits. A daytime high temperature below 90 and an overnight low of 32 are our limits for considering shipping. Legacy Exotics reserves all rights to determine when shipping is safe for animals. While we do our best to check the temperatures before booking all shipments and will hold any shipments we consider unsafe, guaranteeing proper shipping temperatures in your area is YOUR responsibility. Please check your forecast prior to scheduling a shipment. If your area does not have safe shipping temperature at the time of your purchase, Legacy Exotics is more than willing to hold your animal(s) until safe shipping weather is reached, at no additional charge to you. Safe shipping temperatures are always at Legacy Exotics discretion and we may choose to not ship your animal at any time if we feel temperatures are unsafe. This is not to make things harder on the customer, but we’d rather wait until temperatures are safe than have you receive a dead animal.

Shipping is a flat fee of $65.00. Shipping is only to FedEx hub, no residential or commercial building direct delivery. No international shipping. Animals only shipped Monday-Wednesday, no shipping on Thursdays. Live arrival guarantee unless there is a shipping delay. If delay is caused by FedEx, Legacy Exotics assumes no responsibility for injury or death to the animal.

Animals should be picked up from facility within 2 hours of delivery to FedEx hub. If the package gets rejected by your FedEx office or you fail to pick up your animal within two (2) hours of delivery, our live arrival guarantee is void.

In the rare instance that the animal arrives at the destination deceased, Legacy Exotics requires video proof via email within 1 hour of customer pick-up, no exceptions. We may require animal to be returned to our facility at customer expense.

Crested geckos are known to sometimes drop tails if stressed or spooked. While rare, this can happen during transport. Legacy Exotics assumes no responsibility if crested gecko drops its tail during transport, and no refunds or partial refunds will be given.

All payments must clear before shipment will be scheduled.

Payment plans on purchases of $400 or more with 25% non-refundable deposit, 1 to 3 month payment plans only depending on price of the animal. Animal availability not guaranteed unless deposit received and payment clears. If full payment is not made at the end of the agreed upon payment plan period, any amount paid over the down payment is converted to store credit only. Payments made under a plan will not be refunded.

If animal is fully paid for and customer does not arrange for shipping within 6 months (excluding weather related shipping hold agreements), animal will be forfeited and become property of Legacy Exotics. Amount will not be refunded and animal will be relisted for sale.
